The Supersuckers relocated to Seattle from Tucson at the tail end of the me-me-me '80s and provided Seattle with a fresh injection of crowd-pleasing, good-time rock. After singles on the Sympathy For The Record Industry, Lucky, and eMpTy labels, the Supersuckers released a singles compilation CD for eMpTy before signing with Sub Pop for 1992's The Smoke of Hell. With its subversive and infamous cover art by underground comics god Daniel Clowes, and such inventive lyricism as rhyming "marijuana" with "Lola Falana," the Supersuckers would have been driving young boys to ungodly acts and deflowering young virgins even if their legendary cover of Ice Cube's "Dead Homiez" had never been released.

The Supersuckers headlined the Sub Pop Lame Fest Japan, a 4-city Japanese tour, with the Fastbacks, Seaweed, and Supersnazz. Footage from that tour was edited for the first video off La Mano Cornuda, "Gold Top." The band shot the video for "Creepy Jackalope Eye" in Arizona while on the road.

Honestly, the Supersuckers are the greatest live band Seattle has seen sinceJimi was playing street fairs and Heart was covering Led Zeppelin I and II at the Aquarius. And while there's no way you can truly experience the Supersuckers on disc (short of disrobing and hucking beers at your CD player), La Mano Cornuda is as bold and infectious a near-classic as we could've hoped for. You get the idea.

SUPERCHUNK


Superchunk was formed in 1989 in the town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, by Mac McCaughan (guitar and vocals), Laura Ballance (bass), Chuck Garrison (drums), and Jack McCook (guitar). Initially, the band went by the name Chunk (original drummer Chuck Garrison received some junk mail with his name misspelled as "Chunk" Garrison, and the name stuck), and their first single was released under the Chunk moniker. [1] After adding the "Super" prefix to their name, the first official Superchunk single, "Slack Motherfucker," followed in 1989 on Merge Records, founded by Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance. Both releases were well-received, and Superchunk would release its debut self-titled album in 1990 on Matador Records to more critical acclaim.

Check This Awesome Band - Mudhoney

Mudhoney is an awesome band that formed out of the end of a few other Seattle bands. They formed in 1988 and Mark Arm(guitar,vocals,organ!), Steve Turner(guitar,harmonica), Matt Lukin(bass) and Dan Peters( drums) were the founding members. Mark Arm and Steve Turner had been in Green River and Matt Lukin was of course in The Melvins(both bands are worth checking out). Their first single was "Touch Me, I'm Sick," and they (like many other Seattle bands) had signed with Sub Pop. After gaining some popularity in the underground with this single and subsequent work, they continued making some of the coolest stuff I've heard. Anyway since then, they have since gotten a new bass player Guy Maddison, and a best of album "March to Fuzz" has come out. Anyway here's a list of there C/D's for your enjoyment.

Terdiri daripada 5 orang pemuda yang benar-benar meminati muzik iaitu ADAN(vokal),A.P(gitaris1),ALLEY(gitaris2),RAIN(bass)dan D.D(drummer).JAGGIESFIELD turut mempunyai beberapa tenaga kerja yang rapat benar dengan kami,berkongsi SUSAH senang bersama. Mereka ialah Maps (tuan bilik jamm kitorang/tuan PC internet kami), Apiz Alopo (makanan dan minuman yang sedap) dan Afy (KFC till DEAD!!!).Mereka tak penah jemu menghadirkan diri ketika kami jamm.

JAGGIESFIELD FASA 1

Ianya bermula apabila Bengkel Multimedia (ILPKLS Suck's!!) mengadakan majlis jamuan hari raya dan Adan sendiri merupakan Pengarah Projek setiap event Multimedia.Adan mencari satu band untuk membuat persembahan,dia menjumpai junior nya, D.D (dia ni multi-talented musician) dan Alley yang berminat untuk bermain muzik pada majlis tersebut.Seterusnya kemasukan pelajar Bengkel CADD Senibina A.P (sebab dia ni pandai giler main gitar).Maka berkumandanglah muzik pada majlis tersebut hasil kerja 4 orang ini.

JAGGIESFIELD FASA 2

Selepas sehari kejadian majlis tersebut,Adan selalu melepakkan dirinya bersama-sama juniornya. Satu malam dia dapat tahu yang rakannya Ayman (band CHRONICLE) buat jamm session.Adan dengan tanpa malu meminta supaya dimasukkan satu band lagi.Dengan pantas meeting band yang pertama berlaku pada malam itu.Rain (mamat ni STYLO habis bab fesyen) telah dipaksa bermain bass untuk band yang namanya "JAGGIES"dijumpai dalam buku berkaitan ADOBE PHOTOSHOP dan digabungkan dengan perkataan "FIELD" .Berkiblatkan bunyi-bunyian SEATTLE SOND (Adan berjaya mencuci kepala mereka supaya dengar SEATTLE SOUND sebab mamat ni kutu GRUNGE tepu)Selepas 22 hari genap Rain belajar main gitar bass,jamm session itu pun berlangsung.Kat MELAKA beb...
